ELEMENTS OF A STORY

Plot - A pattern of events that develops from the interactions between characters.

A plot is a pattern of events in a cause and effect relationship.

1. Cause - Things that make something happen.

2. Effect - What happens because something was done.

Conflicts - The problems the characters encounter. Their conflicts can be:

1. External - conflict with others and with nature

2. Internal - conflict within themselves

Setting - Time and place of the story

Theme - The meaning behind the events and the characters' actions.

Narrative - The Point of View and Verbal tense of the narrator. How much the narrator intrudes into the story.

Style of Writing - Rhetorical devices, word choice, and sentence structure. 

SITUATIONS I HATE.

1. Thinking back on a really embarrassing moment. 

2. When slow people walk in front of me.

3. Burning my tongue because I'm too impatient to wait for the food I'm eating to cool down.

4. Making me repeat myself

5. Feeling that I'm not enough to a person.

6. Taking 100 pictures and finding nothing cute. LOL 

7. When close friends became strangers.

8. When people walk out of my room and don's shut the door. 

9. When I do my hair at night and it comes out perfect but when I try to do it again it's never the same.

10. When the outfit I planned the night before looks absolutely absolutely terrible in the morning.

11. When people take advantage of my kindness.

12. Being taken for granted by someone I would never dare to give up.

13. When my anger turns into tears.

14. When mama says no to plans I've already made.

15. Having so much homework that I don't even know where to begin with. 

16. When a friend chooses a boy over me.

17. Holding in my sadness and then some super sad song comes on and I just lose it.

18. Waking up early in the weekend.

19. When someone texts me and I reply right away and then they reply a month later. LIKE DUH?

20. Girls wearing make up more than clothes.

21.  When some people don't believe me when I'm actually telling the truth.

22. When someone hates me for no reason.

23. Girls who include their boyfriend in every facebook status they post. BITTER? :D

24. That feeling of emptiness when I feel lonely.

25. Being compared to other people.

26. When someone break promises.

27. When persons whisper to each other in front of me. 

28. When someone's mad at me and doesn't tell me why.

29. Being the person who has to make all the effort

31. When people exaggerates my mistakes and make it seem like I've committed a crime.
