Safe Within Our Love

How did this miracle happen

That we're so very blessed,

So close…and more contented,

Than I ever would have guessed.

I never thought that I

Could spend each precious minute

With just one special person

And find happiness within it.

I've learned so much from you

About loving, sharing, giving;

I know if I hadn't met you,

I wouldn't be really living.

We're facing life together;

We're handling joy and sorrow;

I'm glad you're on my side,

Whatever comes tomorrow.

You're my perfect partner,

Sweet lover, trusted friend.

We're safe within our love,

A love that will never end.

"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."

This poem isn't just about the opposite sex. But for me, it could also be allied to my mother. She is the one whom I treasure the most. And since she is my everything, she also is my life.

"We're facing life together;
We're handling joy and sorrow;
I'm glad you're on my side,
Whatever comes tomorrow."

I chose these lines for it describes how my mother is always there for me in times of difficulties. And whatever circumstances we'll face in our lives, we are ready to face it- TOGETHER. I feel happy, I feel contended with my life now. I feel secure. I am blessed to have her in my life. My best friend, my sweet lover, my sister, my teacher- MY MOTHER.

What I am now, is the product of my mother's love and care. If given a chance to choose a mother, i would still choose the person I am with today. The person who would never left despite everything. The person who taught me how to face life's challenges. The person who taught me how to be strong when everything goes wrong. And I am talking about my life- MY MOTHER.
